The Strofix front glass clamp 60 × 60 mm 180°, for Ø42.4 tube is the middle clamp of the square front glass clamp family. The back plate is fixed to a Ø42.4 mm round tube post (curved back), the front plate presses the glass against it through rubber inlays, and the glass runs in front of the post. The "180°" version holds the edges of two adjacent panels where they meet, keeping both in one line. The clamp measures 60 × 60 × 28 mm and holds glass panels from 6 to 12.76 mm thick. Manufactured from AISI 316 stainless steel with a satin finish. Fixed with an M8 countersunk screw (DIN 7991).

Glass thickness options include 6, 8, 10 and 12 mm single tempered glass and 8.76, 10.76 and 12.76 mm laminated safety glass (44.2, 55.2 and 66.2). When a glass thickness is selected, two EPDM rubber inlays are included, one on each side of the glass; a "without rubbers" option is available for ordering the clamp body only. The glass does not need to be drilled. At the end of a run or at a corner, use the 60 × 60 mm final clamp for Ø42.4 (end clamp, SKU ST-460600F).

FAQ

What does "180°" mean?

180° is the angle between the two panels: they sit in one plane. The clamp holds both panel edges where one panel ends and the next begins, and fixes them to the post behind.

What glass thicknesses are supported?

The clamp accepts glass from 6 to 12.76 mm: single tempered glass (6, 8, 10, 12 mm) and laminated safety glass (8.76, 10.76, 12.76 mm / 44.2, 55.2, 66.2). Both panels must be the same thickness.

How does it differ from a standard glass clamp?

A standard glass clamp holds the panel edge beside the post, so the glass sits between the posts. A front glass clamp holds the glass from its face, so the glass runs in front of the posts.

What is it fixed to and with what?

The back is curved to fit a Ø42.4 mm round tube post. The clamp is fixed with an M8 countersunk screw (DIN 7991). For walls, slab edges and square posts, use the 60 × 60 mm 180° clamp with a flat back (SKU ST-060600).

Why is this AISI 316 only?

The square front glass clamps are made in AISI 316. It resists chlorides better than AISI 304 – the choice near the sea, around outdoor pools or where de-icing salt is used.
