The Strofix glass clamp 45×77 mm, 90° (16.76–17.52 mm) is a stainless-steel glass-to-glass corner clamp for connecting two thick laminated glass panels meeting at a right angle (90°). The clamp measures 45 × 77 mm and holds glass panels from 16.76 to 17.52 mm thick. Manufactured from AISI 304 stainless steel with a satin finish. It joins the two panels to each other and is not fixed to a wall or post.

This 90° corner clamp is dedicated to heavy laminated glass – 16.76 mm (88.2 designation, two 8 mm panes with 0.76 mm PVB) and 17.52 mm. It creates a 90° corner joint where a glass balustrade or enclosure turns a right-angle corner with heavy glass. The clamp grips both thick panel edges at the corner, maintaining the right-angle alignment. This extends the 90° corner range into the same heavy-glass territory covered by the thickest 180° inline joint clamps.

Use cases:

  • 90° corner joint for thick laminated glass (16.76–17.52 mm) in a balustrade or enclosure
  • Glass balustrade runs turning a right-angle corner with 88.2 laminated glass
  • Glass enclosure corners with 16.76–17.52 mm glass
  • Heavy laminated glass corner connections in commercial projects
  • Right-angle joints in glass balustrades with thick laminated panels

FAQ

What glass thicknesses are supported?

Two options within the range: 16.76 mm (88.2 laminated, two 8 mm panes with 0.76 mm PVB) and 17.52 mm laminated safety glass. Only the 88 × 55 × 40 mm corner clamp takes thicker glass (up to 21.52 mm).

How does this compare to the other 90° corner clamps?

The 82 × 55 handles 12–15 mm, the smaller corner clamps up to 12.76 mm and the 88 × 55 × 40 mm handles 16.76–21.52 mm. This 45 × 77 clamp handles 16.76–17.52 mm glass. Choose this clamp for 16.76 mm (88.2) or 17.52 mm laminated glass corners.

What does "90°" mean?

90° refers to the angle between the two glass panels – they meet at a right angle, forming a corner.

What are the clamp dimensions?

The clamp is 45 × 77 mm.

What steel grade is used?

AISI 304 stainless steel with a satin finish.

Is the clamp fixed to a wall or post?

No. It joins two glass panels to each other and has no fixing to a wall or post. To fix a glass panel to a wall, use a wall clamp from the same category.

About Connector Glass Clamps

A connector glass clamp is a stainless-steel bracket that joins two glass panels at a fixed angle without requiring an intermediate post between them. It clamps two panel edges simultaneously – either in a straight 180° inline configuration or at a 90° corner – creating a continuous glass run around corners or across panel joints.

Strofix supplies connector glass clamps in many variants: 180° inline clamps, 90° corner clamps, and wall clamps. Each clamp is available to suit different panel thicknesses and installation requirements.

The correct connector clamp depends on the angle between the two panels and the body style that matches the railing layout.
