The Strofix glass adaptor gasket D60 EPDM is a rubber sealing ring designed for use in Strofix D60 glass adaptor assemblies, placed between the stainless-steel cover or distancer and the glass panel surface. Manufactured from EPDM (ethylene-propylene-diene) rubber, Ø 58 mm outer diameter, 2 mm thick, available with an internal hole diameter of Ø 10.2 mm or Ø 12.2 mm.
The gasket cushions the contact between the metal adaptor components and the glass, preventing direct metal-to-glass contact that could cause stress cracks or scratches. EPDM rubber is weather resistant and water resistant with an operating temperature range of −40 °C to +110 °C and a hardness range of 40–90. Two gaskets are typically required per adaptor point — one on each side of the glass panel. The gasket is sold individually and is a flat type without a flange.
Select the internal hole diameter to match the screw or stud passing through the gasket: Ø 10.2 mm for M10 screws or Ø 12.2 mm for M12 screws. The gasket is sized for D60 glass adaptors (Ø 60 mm cover, Ø 58 mm gasket body).
The gasket sits between the stainless-steel adaptor component (cover or distancer) and the glass panel in a Strofix D60 point fixing assembly. It prevents direct metal-to-glass contact, cushions clamping pressure, and provides a weather seal. Two gaskets are typically used per fixing point — one on each side of the glass.
Select the diameter to match the screw or stud used in the D60 adaptor assembly: Ø 10.2 mm for M10 screws or Ø 12.2 mm for M12 screws. Check the screw size of the adaptor assembly before ordering.
EPDM (ethylene-propylene-diene) rubber. EPDM is weather resistant, water resistant, and UV stable, with an operating temperature range of −40 °C to +110 °C and a hardness range of 40–90.
This gasket is sized for the Strofix D60 glass adaptor range (Ø 60 mm cover, Ø 58 mm gasket body). It is not compatible with D30, D40, D50, D70, or other adaptor sizes.
The Strofix gasket range includes flanged variants for some adaptor sizes (D30, D50). Check the Strofix Gaskets category for current availability of flanged D60 gaskets.
EPDM gaskets maintain their sealing properties over many years under normal conditions. Replacement is recommended if the gasket shows visible compression set, cracking, hardening, or no longer provides a seal against water ingress.
A glass adaptor gasket is a rubber or silicone washer that sits between the metal adaptor body and the glass surface, preventing direct steel-to-glass contact. It cushions the clamping force, compensates for minor surface irregularities and protects the glass edge around the drilled hole from chipping or stress cracking under load.
Strofix supplies glass adaptor gaskets in six sizes — D30, D40, 40×40, D50, D60 and D70 — in two materials: EPDM rubber and silicone. Both flat gaskets and gaskets with an integrated flange are available; flanged variants provide additional coverage around the hole perimeter.
The correct gasket depends on the adaptor diameter, the required material and whether a flanged or flat profile is needed for the assembly.
