Glass clamp with 20mm rod, for French balcony

The Strofix glass clamp with 20mm rod, for French balcony is a 50 × 60 mm AISI 316 stainless-steel edge clamp that grips 6–12.76 mm glass without drilling, mounted on a Ø20 mm anchor rod fixed into the façade.

The clamp is screwed to the end of the rod and holds the glass panel by its edge, so the glass needs no holes. The rod is available in 320 mm or 400 mm lengths, and the finish can be satin or painted in RAL 7016 (grey-anthracite), RAL 8019 (brown) or RAL 9005 MAT (black). AISI 316 contains molybdenum, which gives it higher resistance to chlorides and salt air than AISI 304 and makes it suitable for exterior and coastal façades.

About French Balconies

A French balcony is a glass barrier fixed directly to the building façade at a full-height window or door opening without a projecting balcony slab. The glass panel is held by stainless-steel fittings on anchor rods fixed into the wall, creating a minimal, unobtrusive guardrail that keeps the view and daylight open.

Strofix offers three types of French balcony fitting: D30 glass adaptors with a Ø16 mm rod (220 or 320 mm), D50 glass adaptors with a Ø20 mm rod (320 or 400 mm) – both in AISI 304 or AISI 316 – and 50 × 60 mm AISI 316 glass clamps with a Ø20 mm rod (320 or 400 mm). All are available in satin or painted RAL 7016, RAL 8019 and RAL 9005 MAT.
