The Strofix glass adaptor D30 with 16mm rod, for French balcony is a stainless-steel point fixing with an integrated Ø16 mm anchor rod, available in AISI 304 or AISI 316. The Ø30 mm adaptor holds glass 6–12.76 mm thick at a 15 mm spacer thickness, and the rod anchors into the building façade. The rod is available in 220 mm or 320 mm lengths, and the finish can be satin or painted in RAL 7016 (grey-anthracite), RAL 8019 (brown), or RAL 9005 MAT (black).
A French balcony is a glass barrier fixed directly to the façade at a full-height window or door opening, providing fall protection without a projecting balcony slab. Where the edge clamp grips the panel edge, this adaptor is a point fixing: it passes through a drilled hole in the glass and holds the panel through the Ø30 mm disc, with the 15 mm spacer standing the glass off the wall. The Ø16 mm rod runs back into the façade, giving a discreet fixing that keeps the view and daylight open. It is the smaller of the two adaptor sizes in the range, paired with the lighter Ø16 mm rod. Choose the steel grade, rod length, and finish at order time.

A French balcony is a glass barrier fixed directly to the building façade at a full-height window or door opening, providing fall protection without a projecting balcony slab. The glass panel is held in place by stainless-steel glass holders with integrated rods that anchor into the wall, creating a flush, minimal-hardware guardrail that preserves the open view and natural light.
Strofix supplies French balcony components in two rod sizes — Ø16 × 320 mm and Ø20 × 320 mm — in AISI 304 or AISI 316 stainless steel, with glass holders covering spacer heights from 4 to 30 mm and glass thicknesses from 6 to 12 mm.Individual glass holders and a complete component set (with left, right and bracket pieces) are available.
The correct configuration depends on glass thickness, required spacer height, rod diameter and whether the project needs individual parts or a full set.
Strofix designs and supplies stainless-steel fastening systems for architectural glass, including glass adaptors, railing components, handrails, and structural fixings. We also serve architects, installers, and building contractors on residential and commercial projects.
