The Strofix end cap of rod is a stainless-steel finishing cap designed for Ø10, Ø12, Ø14, or Ø16 mm round crossbar rods, providing a clean closure on the cut end of the bar. The Ø10, Ø12, and Ø14 mm caps have a 15 mm height; the Ø16 mm cap has a 21 mm height. Available in AISI 304 satin for all diameters, with AISI 304 polished and AISI 316 satin also available for Ø12 mm only. The cap is attached using adhesive (elements for pasting included).

The end cap slides over the exposed end of a round crossbar rod and is glued in place, concealing the raw cut edge and creating a smooth, finished appearance. The four diameter options cover all round crossbar rod sizes used in the Strofix railing system, matching the d = 10, 12, 14, and 16 mm bores on Strofix crossbar holders. AISI 304 is suitable for standard installations; AISI 316 (Ø12 mm only) provides higher chloride resistance for coastal or high-humidity environments.

About End Caps

An end cap is a stainless-steel closure piece that plugs into or fits over the open end of a railing tube, post or solid bar, sealing it against moisture ingress and giving the termination a clean, finished appearance. Without an end cap, the cut tube end is exposed — visually unfinished and prone to collecting water and debris inside the hollow section.

Strofix supplies 13 end cap products in three profile families: caps for Ø42.4 mm round pipe (available in flat, convex and ellipsoid shapes), caps for 40×40 mm flat square tube (flat profile), and caps for Ø10 and Ø12 mm solid crossbar rods.

All are in AISI 304 stainless steel with a satin finish, with AISI 316 and polished options available on selected variants. The correct end cap depends on the tube or rod profile it will close, and the desired cap shape.
