The Strofix adjustable elbow for pipe 42,4 × 2mm, Satin, 360° is an AISI 304 stainless-steel adjustable flush elbow for Ø42.4 × 2 mm railing tube, providing a smooth, variable-angle joint between two tube sections. The elbow is 47 mm high and is supplied in satin finish. Attached using adhesive (elements for pasting included).
The adjustable elbow sleeves over the ends of two Ø42.4 mm tubes and lets the angle between them be set during installation. This suits staircase handrails where the pitch varies between flights, ramp transitions, and any configuration where the tube-to-tube angle is not a standard 90°. The flush design creates a smooth, uninterrupted surface at the joint — the elbow encloses the tube ends internally, so no visible bracket or clamp appears on the outside. Once the desired angle is set, the elbow is fixed in place with the included adhesive. This is the wide-range version; a separate fixed 90° flush elbow and a narrower-range adjustable version are also offered.
The Ø42.4 × 2 mm round tube — the standard railing pipe in the Strofix range.
The elbow is adjustable, with a wide range, so the angle between the two tubes can be set during installation to match the pitch or transition. The exact range is set by the elbow's internal geometry.
The elbow creates a smooth, uninterrupted joint surface — it sleeves over the tube ends internally, so the outside profile is smooth with no visible bracket, clamp, or protruding hardware.
47 mm (H = 47 mm) — the overall dimension of the elbow body.
It is secured with adhesive: position the two tubes at the desired angle inside the elbow body, then apply the adhesive. The Strofix anaerobic glue (50 mL) is the recommended adhesive.
Yes. A separate flush elbow with a fixed 90° angle is available. Use the fixed version for standard right-angle turns and this adjustable version for staircase pitches and non-standard angles.
Elbows and connectors are stainless-steel joint fittings that link two sections of handrail or railing tube at a change of direction, creating a continuous, seamless-looking rail line around corners, up staircases and across straight joints. Flush elbows and angles slip over the tube ends and produce a smooth, weld-free joint on the visible surface; welding variants are permanently fused for a rigid connection.
Strofix supplies 15 elbow and connector products for Ø42.4 mm round pipe and 40×40 mm flat square tube, including fixed 90° flush angles, adjustable flush elbows (with one variant covering 0–70°), cross flush angles, tee ("T") connectors, tee corner connectors, inline fittings and welding flush angles — all in AISI 304 stainless steel with a satin finish, with AISI 316 and polished options on selected variants.
The correct fitting depends on tube profile, the angle of the direction change, the number of tube arms meeting at the joint and whether a screwable or welded connection is required.
Strofix designs and supplies stainless-steel fastening systems for architectural glass, including glass adaptors, railing components, handrails, and structural fixings. We also serve architects, installers, and building contractors on residential and commercial projects.
