The Strofix bar is a stainless-steel solid round bar used as crossbar infill in railing and balustrade systems. Available in Ø10 or Ø12 mm diameter, 3000 mm length, with raw (unfinished) surface. The Ø10 mm bar is available in AISI 304 or AISI 316 grade; the Ø12 mm bar is available in AISI 304 only.

The solid round profile is designed to be inserted through crossbar holders mounted on railing posts. The Ø10 mm diameter fits Strofix crossbar holders with a d = 10 mm bore, and the Ø12 mm diameter fits holders with a d = 12 mm bore — including the vertical crossbar holder, blind-hole bar holders, connecting holders, and standard crossbar holders in both Ø42.4 and flat-mount variants. The raw surface finish means the bar is supplied with an unpolished mill finish. All bars are supplied in a fixed 3000 mm length.

AISI 304 is suitable for standard interior and exterior installations. AISI 316 (Ø10 mm only) contains molybdenum for higher chloride resistance, suitable for coastal, pool, and high-humidity environments.

What bar diameters are available?

Two diameters are available: Ø10 mm and Ø12 mm. Select the diameter that matches the crossbar holder bore size used in the railing system.

Which steel grades are available for each diameter?

The Ø10 mm bar is available in AISI 304 or AISI 316. The Ø12 mm bar is available in AISI 304 only. AISI 316 is not offered in Ø12 mm on this SKU.

What length are the bars?

All bars are supplied in a fixed 3000 mm (3 m) length. There is no selectable length option.

What does "raw surface" mean?

Raw surface means the bar is supplied with an unpolished mill finish — it has not been satin-brushed or mirror-polished. This is the standard finish for crossbar rods that are inserted through holders, where the holder body covers the contact points and the visible bar surface is the as-manufactured finish.

Are these bars compatible with Strofix crossbar holders?

Yes. The Ø10 mm bar fits any Strofix crossbar holder with a d = 10 mm bore. The Ø12 mm bar fits holders with a d = 12 mm bore, including the vertical crossbar holder, blind-hole bar holders (left and right, in both Ø42.4 and flat variants), connecting holders, and the standard crossbar holders. Check the crossbar holder spec table to confirm the bore size before ordering.

Are these bars solid or hollow?

These are solid round bars, not hollow tubes. They are designed for crossbar infill applications where the bar passes through holders mounted on railing posts.
