The Strofix threaded rod M10×200 is an AISI 304 (A2) stainless-steel rod with an M10 metric thread along its full 200 mm length. It has a satin finish.

A threaded rod has no head and no wood-screw end – it is M10 machine thread end to end, so a nut can be run on anywhere along its length. One end is set into the substrate – bonded with chemical anchor mortar in concrete or masonry, or screwed into an M10 anchor sleeve – and the protruding end receives a washer and nut that clamp the railing base plate, bracket or holder. The 200 mm length leaves room to bridge an insulation layer through a spacer tube, and the rod can be cut shorter on site. The M10 thread matches Strofix base plates with Ø11 mm bolt holes, such as the Ø100 mm round tube base plate and the 100 × 100 mm square tube base plates. AISI 304 (A2 grade) stainless steel provides corrosion resistance for both interior and exterior installations.

How does it differ from the M10 L100 double thread?

The M10 L100 double thread has a coarse wood-screw end for timber and an M10 machine thread on the other end. The threaded rod is M10 machine thread along its full 200 mm, so it is set in concrete or masonry with chemical anchor mortar or an anchor sleeve. Choose the double thread for timber and the threaded rod for concrete and masonry.

Can the rod be cut to length?

Yes. Cut it with a hacksaw or an angle grinder, then run an M10 nut over the cut end to clean up the first threads before fitting.

Which nuts and washers fit?

Any M10 nut and washer. Strofix supplies an M10 washer and an M10 cup nut in AISI 304, so the whole connection stays in A2 stainless steel.
